Camp Malta Makuyu
Camp Malta is along Nairobi Nanyuki road next to KenGen Tana Tiver Power Stations in Makuyu and shortly before the Tana River bridge.
Camping
There is a communal mess, toilet and shower facilities and a communal Bonfire is lit in the evening. Additional firewood is available for those wishing to set small fires near their camps.
Those hiring tents need bedding, cooking and eating utensils and drinking water. There is no bar, eatery or shop. come fully equipped.
Activities
Camp Malta is in an excellent surrounding and on its fringes flows Tana river
- Rock climbing/Rapelling
- Bird Watching
- Board games are available at a small fees.
Camping costs Kes 1,000 per person per night
The following facilities are available after a Camp fees of 1000 per person per night
- 02 man tent with Mattress
- Cooking utensils and cutlery
- Refrigerator
- Gas burners
- Jiko / BBQ burner but without charcoal or gas.
- Meeting facility- chairs and Bandas
Full Board option
Per person – Kes 4,500
Full board accommodation includes use of the tents and 03 meals including 02 starch, 02 proteins one vegetable and a fruit
The following items are available at an additional Fees:-
- Charcoal Kes 3,000 per sack
- Firewood for Campfire Kes 3,000 per bunch per night
- Sleeping bag Kes 500 per night
- Cooking gas Kes 1,200 per day for a group of up to 20 pax
- Chef / Cook Kes 6,000 per day for a group of more than 50 pax
Clients on self catering arrangement are in charge of their own shopping and cooking of meals. All utensils are provided as stated above. A Chef is however available at a fee as stated above.
Camp Malta observes Christian values and Alcohol and smoking is not allowed in the Camp
